What is the difference between favoriting an object and creating an alert?

When you favorite an object, you can easily find it again and receive notifications even if you haven’t placed a bid. All your favorites are gathered under “My Page.” An alert, on the other hand, means that you enter a keyword, such as a brand or model, to receive notifications when a new object matches your search.
